Wheel offset question, I've searched and I don't understand!

Jeff... You can compare with mine but I'm not lowered.

Rears are 19x8.5", 245/40R19 94Y 33mm offset

So 9mm further in, an then you're custom springs. You won't need to chop your fender maybe.

How about 18x9.5 with 35 offset with TRD springs?

Get a Sawzall and cut-out about 2" dia around each fender well - and maybe you won't rub!

20x8.5 35 or 40 offset. 245 35 or 235 35 or 225 35 tires will do the job and no rubbing!!! even if your' dropped or not. i had 20x 8.5 35 offset dropped on sprint 1.6 in rear drop and no rubbing issues with four people in the car.

Not sure what 225/35s stretched on a 9.5" rim will look like, but without the camber kit on my ride, even the 225s were rubbing on mine when I went with the G35 rims. Cutting the fenders and the camber bolts were the only saving grace and I have the TRD springs he was asking about.

225 35 will be to lowif it were me i'd do it becuse i like that big rim no tire tire look. 9???? how can you fit a 9?i?????? have three piece wheels and even then still not possible. the wider the rim the more it stretches the tire so if you're getting a 9 or 9.5 and you put a 225 or 235 it will be very harsh ride unless you have new struts then you would feel it as bad. i've gone through 255 245 235 225 35 i've had falken's nankang's sunny, nitto, and toyos i think for my taste 235/35 nt55 nitto are the best if not thenn toy proxe 4's are the next choice .tire brand does make a differance in ride quality and also noise. i have trd springs right now on 22's and it doesn't rubb at all. 235/30 nitto neo gen. i'd love to see how a 9 woul fit

^^ The key here is the offset - not nec. tire/wheel dia. though.
