Same thing happened to me back in 1999 in my 94 Camry. The driver seat got screwed up too, the sore neck lasted about week. I got the dealership body shop do the estimate and insurance cut me a check for about $8000. Here is the beautiful part, I made a deal with the dealer and he kept my wrecked camry plus the insurance check and I got me a nice deal on my first brand new car a 99 solara.
You never know with so many stupid people out there what can happen, the girl that hit me at the stop light was talking on her cell WTF!
Because of this type of stuff I got gap insurance on my gen 2 ride. I just couldn't afford the bill if the car gets totalled.
