looks good. I would suggest making sure that this mod can indeed work as roll over proctection, not just cosmetic. Your head is on the line, literaly :o

As it is now, unless you're about 5'-2" you will be decapitated or severe head injury in a rollover anyway... so I'm thinking that they should actually be considerably larger than what's built into the headrest now (which is how I created them in this image - about 3" taller than headrest) - and they could really be much larger...

Roll Bars?

Postby PXLpainter » Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:00 pm

So how about a 3" chrome front Roll Bar instead?

Again - like I saw in a Porsche today, this kind of roll bar (black anodized instead of chrome) with the windscreen mesh attached to the back of it.

Could be very cool... may have to work up several more comps on this one! ;)

First one looks better and the second would be pretty impossible. The nearest structurally sound point would be going to the floor/frame. Big job and would take out your back seat permanently. She's not a roadster.
Great PS work though!

Yeah - heck... you're right... she's not a roadster! ;)

I did think of one more concept that I'm toying with... I'll do a mockup when I have a few minutes of computer time this weekend. Right now the weather's awesome and I'm missing some serious top-down drive time up the beach!! :D
