"Swapping" Car from Another Dealership.. Experienc

$64K question

Hey Katherine

Which Solara are you looking to buy :D You can't go wrong, its an awesome vehicle. I've had mine for almost a week now and I am blown away by the quality and the ride. It literal rides like a full size car. The convertible does experiencesome mirrow shake when going over irregular surfaces but by no means is a show stopper.

Good luck and you are making the right decision!

Hi!

The car is a 2004 SLE V6 in cosmic blue with a charcoal interior :) I saw pictures of the car on the web beforehand, but it didnt even compare to seeing it in person. I went through wanting the cosmic blue, then the arctic pearl, then the silver... now back to blue. lol. I remember when I test drove: the car was so smooth and quiet.. I couldn't even tell the car was in Drive when I put it into Drive from Park. GREAT ride. I know I will be pleased :D

The bottom line is dealerships dealer trade all the time and you should not pay any extra for them to do so if the try to charge you then walk. I would never agree to a deposit unless it is totally refundable and you get it in writng period you cannot trust anyone in this business especially if you have heard a couple of bad stories about this dealership. Buyer beware! Protect yourself it is your money!!!!

My wife, her brother and father work at dealerships none in sales but I hear many stories.

My Solara was a swap too. They tried all the BS about having to charge more and when I walked out they came off that idea real quick.

The only bad thing I could tell is that the car was driven from the other dealership which was 100 miles away. And I had to wait for them to work all that out before finalizing the deal (took about another hour)

All the replies are correct...they trade cars like kids with baseball cards.

Hey guys! lol you all crack me up... Anyway, YEAH got the car!!!! Whoo!! Well I mean it's going to be ordered or located, ya know... The whole experience at THIS dealership was like night and day from the other one I was at. I am not even kidding. The sales guy was more like a family friend or something than a sales guy. No pressure, no tactics, no BS. Even got my college grad rebate. I finally feel happy and excited about it, whereas before I was uneasy and felt weird. Anyway, will be picking up the car on Thursday or Friday. Yay! THANKS AGAIN DAVE!!!! :)
