OLD

Postby glenb » Mon Jul 19, 2004 6:25 am

Desert sand is an old man color. But as I have said before I have earned it.

All you kids don't remember muscle cars and the rumble of a V8. These new cars sound like a pig farting.

I don't want to offend anyone but...............

Being old is not so bad - think of the alternative.

You do have to admit though, it is absolutely red! I don't think you could get any redder!

I'd be interested in seeing a pic of the Desrt Sand. Never seen one in person yet. I have seen just about every color. Artic Frost White and Red have been popular. I have also seen one or two in Cosmic Blue and Black (besides my own) here in Philly. The Oceanus Blue and Dessert Sand are two I haven't seen yet in person.

I've seen the oceanic pearl in person, it actually looks pretty nice. The Desert sand one was nice too, but I didn't want to get champagne. Silver wasn't my first choice at all... I wanted white or black.

Your red Solara conv is really fine, but they should have called the color "Ticket Me Red" instead of "Totally Red". My one red car was a "ticket magnet".

Also, I haven't seen a '04 Solara in "Desert Sand" either. This was going to be my first color choice, but couldn't find one myself and didn't want to wait for one to be located or ordered.

You mean feminine enough to attract gals? Yeah, they dig the car.. err color.

In fact I was driving right next to a hot gal who had a red V6 SLE, she smiled and honked at me. Its too bad we weren't going to the same place, but I think I know where she works :)

Blah, I wasn't about to let a cop magnet deter me from enjoying the color I love the most.

I think I have seen all of the Solara's colors. I like all of them but the light blue (almost baby blue) and Desert Sand. The Desert Sand can look classy but beige/gold just is not a color I like on cars.

I have also seen all the Solara colors and I think it looks best in black, white, red, or silver. It really needs a bright blue like the 350Z or Acura CL or old TL's blue. A graphite (dark) silver color would also look cool. A sporty looking car like this doesn't look that good in the two presently available blues IMO.
