I get this sulfer smell when I get on it. It almost seems daily that I am getting this smell. Is the remedy a new catalytic converter or is there something else?

I have never had a sulfur smell but maybe it is because I always have the A/C set to inside air?

I get random icky smells too, dunno what the cause is. I have to agree though it is mostly after hitting the gas. I try not to since I only have 1200 miles on her though.

Change the gas??? Dats crazy, I'd just give it time and should be okay. I guess I must not be having that problem. I do have 8000 miles on it also.

I've experienced this on almost every car I've owned and I get it once in a while on my car a short time after starting it when accelerating. Then I never smell it again till another day. It's from the catalytic converter.

I used to drive 10 different '03 Corolla S's (brand new at the time, got them at 10-18 miles) for work and each and every one of them reaked of eggs or sulfur multiple times in the 50k miles that were put on each of them. Maybe it has to do with Toyota? If they said it was the cat, then why the hell is the smell all inside the cabin? Confused the hell outta me so I just drove with the windows down all the time, when it wasn't raining in Seattle.

You smell it in the car even with windows closed. It is coming from the catalytic converter. Don't know how it is seeping in though. Very common occurrence.

THose threads are about exhaust smells while this thread is about rotten egg smells. Two different things since the car's exhaust does not smell like rotten eggs.
