This post is to showoff your mods with pictures or just explainations. I'm just curious as to what the market is in regards to mods for the second gen. and where we can find some of these mods. Me personally, I have a K&N drop-in. You can get that online at any dealer of K&N filters. The VVT-i badges you can get on ebay along with the chrome dipped stock wheels. You will need to wait alittle while for the wheels since the company needs to dip the wheels I sent them.

Now tell us, what do you have? If you have done any performance mods, tell us what you have noticed (low end torque, top end hp, handling characteristics, etc.). If you have an exhaust, what does it sound like or simply attach a sound clip. If you have done your own mod. and want to share how you did it, go for it.

considering on how much knowledge i have gained in the automotive branch, i would go for exhaust works, since that can accomodate the most for being stock.

next i would probably go for new shoes

followed by FI

and lastly installing a crazy system.[/list]

i'ld go exhaust -> supercharger-> electronics
i'm not a big turbo fan, yes you get more power after putting big enough scrolls and turbines. but a sc will last longer and need nearly no maintenance.

and thats my subs and amp (as of now) and you can see the bottoms of my 6x9s (the magnets on these are about 3x the stock ones).

next to come is my grille in less then a week and then springs, fsb, and rsb this summer. also going to put my alpine deck in this summer and maybe and another amp to go to my 6x9s.

jesse789, how did you install those subs? Did you install an aftermarket headunit yourself? Or did you get a dash kit because I've been looking for one myself. Or did you get one of those adaptor things that turn rear speaker line into RCA level?

i ghetto rigged it for now... taking it off the rears. the kit isnt coming out untill winter (supposedly) so i'm going to to do a custom install on my alpine unit sometime this summer. going to intergrate my mtx tweeters into the dash that way and also see about getting the steering controlls to work with it (and if that fails then i think i'm going to fill in those buttons and cover those two plastic areas on the wheel and leave just the display button. i'm going to do that or the srpings/fsb/rsb first (within a month...) and then the other by the end of summer

Anyone else? I am especially interested in receiving a sound clip or detailed description of exhausts for the Solara V6.

Michael,

A while back, you stated that you were thinking of R&D'ing the side mirrors, is that still in consideration?

Yes...all the customizing stuff is taking it's slow toll as usual. It's really not me...It's the bodyshops. They have shows to prep for and they say muh ride can wait cus they too busy. I know how it is...they don't want muh bitniss. JK. They're searching to see which one would make the best fitment with the least fabrication.

I have to drive 800 miles to and fro for some of these mods cus in KY, there's no one here that will do a GOOD job; nobody seems to express interest in what Ima tryna do...

Like I said in da past, KY is not da place for me...gonna have to move sooner or later.

Peace out!

Hey Shoe,

That looks pretty good, however I still like this one much better. I'm sure it the picture below would look much better with a bodykit.
