Do you see many 04 Solaras on the road?

I saw one in my area right before I bought mine three months ago and haven't seen one since on the road. Just today I drove into my condo development and parked there is a brand new white 04 SE Sport V6. The white color sure makes this car look larger for some reason.

There's more and more showing up in my area. See about 5 a week. Espicially a blue one with black tint that I see everyday while driving to work and driving home from work...I think we work the same hours.. :)

Solara owners are gamblers.

I don't see any in the Phoenix area but in Las Vegas a few weeks ago we saw several in the Hotel parking garage.

Just proves Solara owners are big gamblers (in more ways than one).

In Houston, you see a lot of new cars instantly as they come out...When the gen 2 first came out, i saw one per day...now i'm seeing more like one per week....I remember when the gen 1 came out...they were just everywhere...any production/sales numbers to compare the two gen's? anyone....

I have only seen one in the Phila area -- the one my wife stared at with a "What's THAT?" look. A week later we picked up our Solara.

I haven't seen one since.

Since i bought mine in early October ive seen about 2 or 3. Its funny because about a month ago i was driving to work and i saw a car behind me with these real nice headlights and i was like "what the hell is that"...lol it was my same exact car, some chick.
ps- if driving in front of a gen2 our headlights look white but from just the right angle they look blue. (if anyone didnt know, or cares)

Since I bought mine about six months ago, I have seen only one 2004 Solara. Naturally, it had to be the same color as mine!

I have seen a Red SLE, a white SLE and a black SE in the last month. Before that, mine was the only one (Indianapolis)...maybe a trend is starting!

Does anyone know what the sales figures are so far for this car? Can anyone who works at Toyota or a Toyota dealership provide numbers of total 04 Solaras, breakdown by model and color? That would be nice to know.

Yea, I'd like to know that, too. I'd like to compare the Solara numbers to the Accord's sales figures. Not that I think Solara is outselling Accord (though it should), but just as a comparison. I saw a "Car and Driver" magazine at my local barber shop and noticed it was their "10 Best" issue. Of course the Accord was listed, and I noticed the Solara was nominated. Why, why, why does C&D like the Accord over the Solara/Camry? I just don't get it!

Haven't seen any Gen 2's here in the Madison, WI area. But I do see some Gen 1's now and then.

So far it's been kinda neat being the only one around. 8)

I see the same guy in an Absolutely Red one everyday along my commute, but other than that the only other 04' I've seen was a black V6 Sport on the Jersey Turnpike about a month ago. Surprisingly rare.

Oh, and in my opinion the Accord is the car mag darling of all time, and always will be. Not even the 03' tranny problems could dent their reputation in the eyes of the car mags.
