'04 Solara T.S.B. issued!

Postby Buckeyegirl » Tue Oct 14, 2003 3:43 pm

I took my car into the dealer to get the alignment checked because it was pulling to one side after my husband set the air pressure correctly at 32 psi. and the dealer said Toyota has just issued a T.S.B. to correct the camber on the '04's with 17" rims. If anyone is having this problem you might want to have this checked out.

Buckeygirl,

Thanks for the info! I told my dealer about the same problem. He said he checked the tire pressure and rotated the tires. It seems better, but sometimes it still pulls to the left.

Do you have a number for the TSB?

Buckeyegirl,

My V6 SE does that, too. I'm gonna drop it off at the dealer tonight. What did they do to correct this problem?

They ordered camber bolts. I don't know the T.S.B. number yet.

I called up the Toyota dealer where I'm buying from tomorrow and talked to the service department. They totally denied there are any TSB's yet for the 2004 Solara. I specifically told them what I heard about this camber TSB problem and they denied any TSB exists. Anyone else confront service depts yet on this?

Yup, dealer (at least mine) seems to be slow on this TSB thing.
But since we all feel our cars pull to the left, we can't all be wrong?

Uh Oh.. so much for Toyota Motor Kentucky!

I guess I'm fortunate not to have this issue. So far no reports of this matter from SE Sport owners? Based on posts on here, it's occurring on the SE and the SLE models.

no TSB has been issued yet for the 2004 Solara.

nor has anyone called this dealer complaining that their solara pulls left.
check your tire pressures people, and make sure you're driving in the middle lane when looking for the "pulling."

I do have a SE Sport, this has nothing to do with model. It has something to do with 17" rims which come on the SE Sport & SLE.

I have 17" tires on my SLE V6 and my car doesn't pull. Also,
if there is a TSB then it should appear on this link(http://www.alldata.com/TSB/04_mk.html) which list TSBs for all cars/years.

Well, I have the SE Sport as well...and nothing wrong with my car and the 17"s. I have the alloy wheels and the Toyos.
