A chromed Trenz Billet grill would look good as well on your car imo but it wouldn't match the wheels though since they aren't chrome so yeah a black billet grill would look better on your car.

But rather than just slapping a mesh in there I would suggest trying to fabricate a grille around it..I know it's easier said than done but it would look like my edited photo above. If u order a mesh on eBay make sure it's at least 1/2" diamonds..smaller size looks like home depot/ lowes crap

I always wonder how it would look if I were to just get my oem grill painted artic frost pearl color and keep the Toyota badge. I would probably go with that somewhere down the road.

Read this...but instead of a "bumper" pretend he is talking about your grille http://ezinearticles.com/?How-To-Fiberg ... &id=750755

u would need to create the frame of grille(the mold) with either foam, clay, or anything u can shape..even wood

once that's made perfect then u jus lay some fiberglass on it with cloth about 5 layers should be good. Then top it off with body filller. Sand it smooth and insert mesh behind it..with some patients this can be done!

Hey kenny that's my car.....uh, minus the grills! I have a roll of black plastic mesh (like for a screen door) that I thought about taking the grill off and wrapping it with the mesh. Only problem is that the mesh is so sheer I would need 10+ layers just for it to look right but that would make it look lumpy and also the grill wouldn't fit back into place 'cuz of the added thickness. Still thinking it through but I haven't seriously worked on it yet.

you need the smallest diamonds possible ortherwise you see right into the engine bay and get to look at your radiator and horns... When i made my grill i actually used two sheets of the smallest diamonds possible and offset them so that you can only see through half as much as you would with one sheet.

not sure if this is really a grille off a Gen 2 but check out this listing
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem=

if you can get a grille like this to modify...this would be perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!! all you need to do is cut out the inside and replace with mesh!

Has anyones Gen 2 come with this type of grille before?

Having your stockie painted the same color as your lara makes a nice improvement. I had mine painted lunar mist metallic when I had front end damage.
vvv see sig for pic.
