to crash Solaras. >.< Noticed that a lot of people seem to be doing it lately...

Late at night. Swerved to avoid a deer (curse my reflexes, but looking at the skid marks after the fact, if I had hit the deer and/or came out at the wrong angle, I might have hita big ol' tree. Avoided it either way so... yeah). Lost control of the car. Spun/skidded and apparently (according to a couple driving behind me) caught a bit of airtime before ending up in a ditch. I came out of it with really minor injuries so I feel real lucky.

I didn't take any pics. But I need to go to the yard she got towed to and grab some stuff out of the trunk so I'll take some pics then.

Honestly I don't think any mods available could have helped this. Better traction or control might have allowed me to pull out of it okay. Just my opinion.

im glad everyone is walking away from these accidents, but on the brite side, it makes the cars harder to find, which in turn makes them worth more...................... :drinking:

Honestly I wish I had hit the deer. At least then I could take it home for dinner. xD

^^^Yeah, but I'd take a ditch any day than risking a deer coming through the windshield and into my lap. The Solara's hood line is just low enough where anything we hit has a chance of coming through and impaling us to our seats. That being said, glad you're in one piece Bro.

I tell you what though, if it does end up being declared a total loss, I'll find me a cheapish beater with a stick shift to drive (any suggestions?). Never actually driven stick before so I wanna get some practice in before the FT-86 is actually produced. :)

Return of the Silver Solara curse. Beware Silver owners! (No kidding, this curse has been on SG for years.)

I knew there was a reason I never liked silver cars much... But the Solara seemed to be enough of a car to make up for it. xD

Damn, whats with all these accidents happening in a row?

If the Solara is a write off, upgrade to a better car, don't downgrade.

Glad to see you are okay.
