So I've been having an issue lately with the switch that raises the volume of the radio when the top is down and lowers it when the top is up (I did a quick search and couldn't find the answer).

As I drive along with the top up the radio mutes and then comes back louder - as if I just dropped the top - and then a few seconds/minutes later does the reverse.

I really love that the engineers think they know better than I do about the level that I want my radio at so they create another point of failure that I have to deal with.

Oh yeah... I also hate that even when not set to Auto, the climate control thinks it knows better than I do if it should be set to recirc or not.

Anyone else having the same problem with the switch for the radio on their convertible?

On the convertibles is a switch that raises the level of the radio when the top is lowered and lowers the level when the top is raised.

It is prone to failure and this failure results in the radio levels changing even when the top has not changed from down to up or up to down.

Better?
