what could be going wrong? could this be normal after a little hard driving?
comes through the A/C vents too a little..

Same here i inherited a 2006 sle v6 auto with 27k on it a month ago.auto transmission even took it to the dealer and got no answer on the burning smell.i would like to know what causes this as well.it happens after a hard run with or with out hard braking.

Can't it be the sulfur smell coming from the catalytic converter? Toyota had a TSB for that... that smell comes more apparent ESPECIALLY during hard acceleration.

Under the TSB, u can get it replaced if under 80k miles.

Ill carry it up to the dealer in the morning and mention the tsb and see what they say this time..thanks for the info.

Recommendation, its best not to mention the TSB at first, but rather present the complaint. If they "don't know" what could be the cause, mention the TSB. They have to honor if u complain sort of whats mentioned in the TSB.

Good service reps look for TSBs when problems are found, Great service reps check them out when customer just walks in.

I went and Thursday is the day they are supposed to fix it.i just told them the same thing.plus i have a hi card there.went and talked to him and he talked to
someone to get me straight.the rep told me to call him direct if i had anymore issues.
