2005 Solara 108K miles $7800 reasonable?

Postby ucducducd » Sat Feb 07, 2009 6:40 pm

There is one guy trying to sell his Solara 2005 to me. SE Sport edition, V6 with 108,8XX miles on it. Got too much miles from the rental company. Clean title. Leather seat with sun roof.

Is $7,800 a reasonable offer? Any advice is welcome!

Thank you all.

:D

That price is fair. But, of course, with a little patience and open eyes you can find a better deal.

Its not only that but poor maintenance too! Rode on a Chrysler Sebring with 20k miles on it a few weeks ago and that car has more noises and rattles than mine at nearly 70k.

We owned a Ford Taurus originally purchased from a Budget. Although it was in pretty good shape when my Dad purchased, it developed a lot of problems that most likely spawned from poor maintenance and just simple ride abuse.

Run away!

Thank you all. I tried to contact the seller and tell him what your expertise are. He still refuse to mark down the price. Actually, I was thinking to pay him $7,000 in cash. But he insisted on $7,800. No way to help him. Actually, he will cross the country from California to New York in few days.

Thank you all for giving me advices. I am still searching for a Solara nearby. Keep in touch.

Keep your eyes open. As many have described, Solaras seem somewhat rare until you own one. Then they just kind of come out of the woodwork! You should be able to find a nice one if you have a little time to look.
Good luck!

Don't tell anyone, but Shelly was a rental. But only for a year. *shhhhh* She's perfectly fine, but I probably just jinxed myself. Haha
