New 04 Owner with some questions.

I really lucked out. Bought this with no manuals. Some questions:

1) Is my stereo a 6 disc system?
2) Is there a satellite system installed?
3) Any bluetooth options with this system?

Dealer is ordering me a nav disc. aid $14,500 For this 2004 v6 with 16,500 miles.

I've never seen a nav with a cd changer in it.

As for sat., unless you have a sat receiver, you don't have it. A good way of finding out is you'd have a pretty sizable magnetic antenna on the roof of the car itself. It doesn't look like it does from the pics.

And the blue tooth, I have no idea. Fiddle with it while having your phone in discoverable mode and see if it picks it up.

Under $15,000 for 2004 SLE with 16,500 miles!!!! Holyyyyyyyyy lucky charms Batman!!! I just got an instantaneous case of jealousy. Good find! As for the stock Nav unit for that year it comes with a top slot for 1 CD and a bottom slot for 1 Navigation DVD--no changer. The face plate swings down from the bottom and give you access after pushing the 'open' button. Satellite radio was still an option back in 2004 for the Nav units so the only thing I can say press the SAT option and see what the readout displays. I'm not sure if there's even static without a subscription or box. Bluetooth was not even an option in 2004 unfortunately.

I am looking at the Parrot kits for Bluetooth. What I really want is a Bluetooth module that will let me play from my 8 gigs of music on my Sony Erricson cell phone without relying on an FM modulator.

Hmm, maybe someone else can chime in about music sound quality from Bluetooth being any better or worse than FM modulation. I wouldn't mind knowing this myself.

Blue tooth should be MUCH clearer then FM modulation if not for the simple fact that it won't go all fuzzy if you drive by someone else using the same channel. Just don't go too far from the transmitter

most bleutooth, even stereo bluetooth, is just a mono signal doubled. I doubt it would sound better.

Very good find on the car. You can get a 6disk CD changer, there is a port for it on the back of the Navi.

ONe more question - how do I know I have a transponder or chipped key? I am trying to buy one online.

Umm... A key maker/locksmith could probably tell you. The only difference that I know between the two sets of keys that I have is a single cut on the key itself.

Tipically the keys are larger around than a non chiped key. I also see a sort of round indentation right below the key grip looks like you could fit a pen tip into it. OR you could just do it the easiest way and call a dealer with you're vin number and ask
