Clock losing time

Clock losing time

Postby Wally932 » Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:31 pm

Hello,

I just purchased an '04 Solara Convertible...it is awesome. I noticed, however, that the clock loses about a minute every day.

The dealership put in a new battery before I bought it.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

You know, you are correct that the clock does not match other clocks. When i last set mine a few months ago, i set it 7 minutes fast (my other one is set via GPS signal). these days they are dead even. Not a huge issue, but i can confirm that it doesn't hold the same time as others do.

Wally932,

Mine did this also and I took it in to the dealers and they replaced it with a new one. They said it was a know issue, since then it's been great. Not sure if your car is still under warranty or not, if not let me know, I've got an extra one for sale, I think I do, I'll have to search the garage to find it tho.

Unfortunately I have not. I have looked online, but I can't find a replacement clock. I don't want to go to the dealership.

Any suggestions?

Maybe its the SIZE of your clock that's the problem...
