Wheel and tire upgrade

Wheel and tire upgrade

Postby anwagbo3000 » Thu May 29, 2008 12:59 pm

Hey guys, my next project will be to get:

New rims
New tires

I already have my new rims lined up and actually have 2 of them sitting in my room (long story), they are konig afterburner in black:

18X7.5 5-114.3 45BPL, all four wheels

but i need some suggestions on tires, any ideas (sorry eddie, your gonna hate me for this but i love these rims man)

And comments on the wheels are welcome, my next mod would have been a cp-e maf but i went to the cp-e shop and they dont have any made right now, they gave me a estimate of like end of july, so this will be my current mod and my next mod will be the cp-e maf ( and paying some bills)

They're supposed to be like that. Knock-off of the Rays Gram Lights

For tires, I say 235 all the way around.

I dunno, in the sun it might look really odd unless you have a paint job to match. As for tires, that really all depends, are you looking for all seasons or do you have winter tires allready so you can run high performance tires?

It would, 235 fills out the wheel more, though.

Depends on your wheel offset. 235s will match the closest to OEM tire dia, but you may rub. I went to 225s and don't rub as much but I have a -30 offset too... you may be fine.

TIC also makes wheels like those too. exact same style and lip.
When my car was at HIN chicago just the past month there were already a few cars sporting those. it looked alright .. a little too much unless if you had a whole body paint to match it, otherwise to me it looked... really goofy and weird,
but to each their own.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

If it makes you feel any better, i'm running 235x35x19 tires on a +45 offset with TRD springs and i'm not rubbing anything.
