mods should move this thread..

the factory system is just a keyless entry and usually locks itself 60 seconds after you've disarmed it but havent entered the car...so if you pull into your home and get out of the the system will never arm itself.

was that the side that closes weird the side they broke into? pics are ALWAYS encouraged!

Welcome to SolaraGuy... Sorry that it happened.

First, for future reference, your car is a 2nd generation.

Anyway, like Chris said, usually the car doesn't lock itself if you've driven it. Also do you mean that the window extends beyond the door frame, or every time you roll the window down with the door closed (or even open) it seems to be stuck? Please elaborate, pictures as a visual aid a plus.

Welcome to SolaraGuys, sorry to hear that your car got broken into. The police involved at all? Not sure if they care about a ipod and tomtom, sadly...

Yea, I have this problem, i know exactly what ur talking about. I usually press the corner of the window in then slam the door closed, or lower it then raise it again when the door is closed. I think it happened when a few of my fat lazy friends clung to the window when waddling out of the rear.

sadly, i don't know how to fix it. sorry dude.

Hi Jay,

Can't help you with the sticky window but can give you a heads up on the alarm.

At some point someone has set your door locking system and alarm to 'passive' mode. The doors lock automatically after you turn off the ignition and leave the car without you having to do anything.

The factory default is 'active' which means you have to lock the door either with the button in the door or from your key fob.

If you want to switch back to 'active' mode the instructions are posted on my Solara page (see link in my sig). Click on "tips" and click on "switch from active".

Cheers

the window raise too much, hitting the door frame, and can't close the door properly?
i had the same problem,
except, it also made a scary noise when i closed the door with window rolled down.
it sounded like the glass was shaking and going to break inside the door.

well, the problem was fixed after i took it to dealer.
they told me the ruber on the track to guide windown up/down wasn't mounted properly.
my other frnd had the same issue at the passenger side window as well.
all u need to do is re-mount the ruber. nothing is needed to replace.

hope the this info help~
good luck

btw, the best way to avoid ppl break into the car is REMOVE or HIDE all valuable stuff inside the car... :D
