Sport-Sequential Shift

Since the Gen2 came with only Sequential Shifting and the Sport shift tabs i think? How good is the playing on the gear box? Pretty instant change? I never had a chance to play with a sequential shift transmission until I got this Hyundai car with a sequential shifter, well shiftronic from what it states. Pretty similar right? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Yes, very similar. We do not have "tabs" (like the older IS)... the gear changing is not instantaneous, but its not terrible. Once you slap it over into "Manual" mode it probably takes 1/2 a second to 1-1/2 seconds for the shift to actually happen (depending on how much gas you are giving it, what speed you are going, etc...).

For me, it beats driving a true manual tranny around in LA traffic!

I would say the samething as Posh on this...but on the drag racing track, I use it to use all the juice as possible and when I shifted it was pretty fast I would say faster than the 0.5 second...closer to 0.3 second

I bit more stifier (quicker) and it would be perfect !!

It doesn't work well, it's a gear selector, nothing like the paddle shifters in a IS350.
