Does anyone have a recommendation for an OBD-II Scan Tool that works well with the Solara?

It's a standard so any one of them will work. Just a matter of features. Laptop hookup and software of course is best. Pricey though.

If you just want a simple "consumer" OBD-II reader for looking up codes, clearing errors, etc., I just bought an AutoXray Code Scout 1500 that I'm happy with. For a simple reader, it comes with all the on-screen code definitions, etc. It's very user-friendly. The magazines ranked it highly, too (Consumer Reports or Popular Mechanics, I forget which one.). The prices vary greatly, though, so check around.

If you need something more significant (for diagnostics/scanning), the higher-end (i.e. more expensive) ones from Actron are pretty standard.

Make sure it's got the features you want.
