Yellow is better if you have high draw subs or electronics. What your looking for is a "deep cycle" battery, of which the yellow top is one. A starting (non deep cycle) battery is better and will last longer if your alternator puts out enough juice to cover your electronics all of the time, and thus your battery is used only for starting.
Stock, our car's alternators provides 80A, so when running at 14.4V it produces 1152W. If your OE battery died prematurely, or if you have amp/subs that hit at 800W+ peak, and you pump the volume, its most likely your deep cycling the battery. Youll also want to go deep cycle if you often run electronics while the car (and thus the alternator) is off.
Blue top is the same as a red or yellow top, but have extra posts for marine use. Whether it's based on a red top (starting battery) or yellow top (deep cycle battery) depends on the color of the case. Dark grey case = starting battery. Light grey case = deep cycle battery. Other than aesthetics and extra posts, it offers no benefit from its yellow/red top counterpart in a car application.
Orange top is the same as a red top, but for imports that had reversed posts (like the Solara). At some point, they stopped using the orange top and just used a red top for the reverse post ones as well, since thats what they were.
