There should be more fuses below the steering wheel, closer to the door. You'll need to pull the little drawer out. That's at least where they are on Gen. 1s. I know my cig. lighter fuse was there too.

Thanks...thought so too, but can't find any door there, and manual only shows fuses under hood. Still looking...but feel like a total geek that I can't find it!

I just replaced a fuse on my '06 under there. It's in that spot, under the steering wheel close to the door. But there's a little black lid that covers the fuse panel. You can remove the lid by pulling down on a little tab on the back side of the panel. The mapping of fuses is on the inside of the lid.

But here's a caution. Toyota went to low-profile mini-fuses. They have the same body size as the regular mini fuses, but instead of the blades sticking down like teeth, the blades run along the side. Here's what the new ones look like.

I went to Auto Zone, O'Reillys, NAPA, Wal-Mart, etc, and couldn't find the low-profile version. I finally got one at Toyota for $1.69. There are a couple of spares under the hood, but not the value I needed.

BTW. You can stick a MINI in the slot for a low-profile MINI, but it will stick way out and you won't be able to put the lid back on over the fuse panel.
