I HATE THE FRONT OF THE NEW SOLARA!!!!!!!!


There... I finally said it. Ugh.. I've been holding it in for so long and just finally had to let it out.

It's ugly! The front now resembles a Hyundai! It looks so cheapened! There are nice aspects of the Gen 2.5, but none of them are looks.

Maybe I just haven't seen a good picture of one with ground effects yet... but at this point, I don't hold out much hope.

The front of the Gen2 Solara (with ground effects) looks like a mean shark to me... or fangs or something! The new Solara looks like a Tiburon.


... yes Tiburon means shark, but I mean Hyundai.


This is only my opinion and mean no offense to anyone who simply loves the new Solara.

i am totally agree with you. a gen2 head plus gen2.5 grill, HID headlight and tail light would be perfect.

I do like the LED tail lights... I do like some of the new features of the 2.5 Solara, I just don't like the front.

toyota is making it look ugly because this will be the last year the solara will be made. why make something look better than previous models if youre going to stop producing it? this will make it easier for people to detach from the solara and forget about it when its gone.

I think it's about maketing.

Toyota is trying to appeal to the boy-racer type that typically buys the two-door coupes.

Instead of being compared to Lexus or Infinity, the Solara will now start to be compared to the Hyundai and Suzuki.

I just want to say again that these are only my opinions. No doubt the 2.5 Solara is a sweet ride, it's just my personal opinion it doesn't look as nice as mine.

It looks like Toyota is letting Scion take the 2-door coupe market. Again, back to marketing and appealing to the demographic that typically buys 2-door coupes.

I went to the dealer and looked at one, in the dark grey color with ground effects. I don't like the front end at all, or the reverse lights, or the new emblems, or the color. I like the LED lights, but seriously don't care. The new gauges are better than mine and the stereo compatability is desireable. I still can't think of a car I'd rather have for the money than my gen2! I don't like the transmission so I've been looking for a new ride, but couldn't find one

the fog lite are way out of place for me.. they look good where theya re in the gen2 i dont llike the mounting position on the 2.5s and i like the long lower opening
