Mazda6s vs solara v6 se sports

Mazda6s vs solara v6 se sports

I like looking of mazda6s little better, but engine sux...
but mazda handling is awesome.. but lexus 3.3 engine is good...
Also, I can get new mazda6 about the same price as solara..

2004 solara sports se v6 with 6800 miles.. dealer said it's been dealer demo.. but still too low miles.. this offer was $20000 including tax.

2004 solara sports se v6 with 26000 miles, toyota certified used..
price $20300 so far without tax..

2005 mazda6s MSRP 28600 full option. $20000 without tax including 4 year warranty..

if one of solara model was 2005 I would just buy since I will drive minimum 4 year..

I am not sure what kind of service and cost for 30k miles?

the certified used vehicle warranty is only for power train right? not all basic stuff?

I know mazda6s and solara are totally different car.. but that's my two options.. both are good looking car from my point of view

can you guys help me decide car and price of car?

I can't sleep these day...... thanks

my girlfriend had same situation as you do, tore between mazda6 and solara SE v6. Did you test drive both car? my girlfriend just like the solara with liberary quite and comfort which was very similar to lexus experience. But the key decision was that she brought her dad to test drive the mazda6, and they finally find a mazda dealer (now most of them are just in the little corner of ford dealer). while the salesman try to start up the brand new mazda6, it just wont fire up. So my gf's dad just tell her forgot about the crap.

and have you ever thought why people would trade in their almost new mazda6 in the toyota dealer?

however, i belive solara has better reliability and resale value. Toyota parts and dealers are also easy to find. However, they have mazda6 in the Asia market, so you will have alot of aftermarket part support and fun. I also think mazda6 had better performance.

solara v6 = same engine used in lexus = toyota resale value and reliability

mazda 6 (assuming u opt for v6) = ford engine = ford resale value and reliability

Only Mazda's worth considering for purchase is the RX-8 and MazdaSpeed 6. But it still shares parts with FORD and thats just unacceptable.

Stick with Toyota, you wont regret it.

only thing im missing is the V6 and the JBL sound system
otherwise i ahve everything else leather moonroof and stuff
and i got my car brand new less than 10 miles
so ya i just think u can get a better deal on those 04 solaras

^^^^
and its not like hyundai cars suck...they got much much better....so its not like toyota reliable has gotten much worse its still has one of the best reliability

yes you can find a few mazdaspeed 6 out at dealerships now. Only thing i found that I liked about it was the handling with awd. Turbo 2.3l engine i believe makes it pretty speedy. When I launched one though, it tended to want to make veer off course instead of shooting straight. ;\ maybe just myself, or is that torque steer.

About the mazda and ford, anyone else notice the mazda B-trucks are rangers with just the tailights flipped oppositly? hehe
