Tire Shop scratched wheel

I got a nail in one of my back tires and took it to a local tire shop this afternooon to get it fixed and when I got home I noticed they scratched the crap out of my wheel. By the time I had gotten home, they had already closed for the day so I've got to go up there first thing in the morning and raise hell I guess. They better do something about it...like buy me a new freakin wheel or I'm gonna be pissed. I've used this shop for years and never had a problem before with any of my other vehicles. this is the 1st time I've taken my Solara there though. Man I'm pissed off more now just thinking about it.

u drove away, they closed down for the day, u didnt look at ur tire after they fixed it? they prolly will blame it on u...

happened to me too...

didn't notice each one of my new wheels had received nicks and scrapes until i got home, then realized that there was no way i could prove they caused the damage...

I had the same thing happen at a Goodyear shop. Not only did they scratch one wheel but all of my rims were scratched and bad. I raised hell and they did end up paying me what it would cost to fix the "inside" portions of the wheels since I already had some curb damage. I called the same day and told them about the damage because I also didn't notice it until I got back home. I spoke to the Manager and he said it was no problem and to bring the car back. When I did he said that he didn't see any damage on my rims when I brought it in and that the machine had scratched them. I had to go back and forth with the corporate office, but I finally got a check like 3 weeks later in the mail. Those rims are gone now though. Good luck!
