iv been looken at the TC, and have kinda fallen in love with the 18"rims and body kit, on that Azul blue model.

my Question to you guys is?

is this car junk?

i think 23,780K for the 4cylinder se is to much, and in upstate Ny, thats what there asking for it.

so it looks to be to much for me, at this point right now.

the Tc base prive is 17k> with the security System, Body kit and upgrade 18" with my trade in its like 18-19k

should i do it

its a cool looken car.

$23,780 for an SE 4 cyl ? Whoa ! The msrp on that model (automatic) is about $22K, and considering that most Solara coupes go for less than invoice, it would mean a price of about $19K. I must admit that the tc doesn't look bad, but once you add the rims (probably about $1000-$1500) and the ground effects ($1000), you're already inching on $20K, and as far as I know dealers are not negotiating on Scions. Even if the Solara was a couple of thousand dollars more than the tc, I'd still buy the Solara. I just think it's a better car.

i got my solara se sport v6 for less then that..............

and ya the solara is the better car...but they should drop from that price..dont buy it for over 21k for a i4

and i must admit the tC is a great deal.. alot for the price....its up to how much u can afford i guess.. but the tC is a tight car too

2004 solara vs 2005 tc... if ur going to get a 4banger then u might as well go with the tC... they've already got all kinds of goodies for it like 19inch wheels, rear sway bar, springs, even a new set of shocks that are already out from TRD this car is the new celica dont forget trds going to max out his car more then likely by this time next year. exhaust systems, intakes,

continued....

exhaust and intakes are a given to be out by next summer.
the supercharge fro the 2.4 engines are scheduled to come out before the new 3.3s. was suposed to be out within a month of tC release but trd is always behind. sooo if you looking for a car with 4sillies and want some speed, i would say go with the lighter car and rice it up a bit with the trd parts...... and then after all the mods you'll be at the same price of a stock solara with maybe a couple small mods...

tC if you get the I4

Solara if you get the V6

If I were to get a new car now, Id probably get the tC, but my Solara still has many years left in it.

TC has higher protential on performance, but solara is at more mature class pre-luxry class car. but a 4 cylinder at the price is over priced.

Solaris? Isn't that a movie? Are you buying a movie or a car? If you are buying a car, go Tc. If you are buying a movie, I hear Solaris is good. As far as cars go, I prefer my SOLARA.

im going with a gut feeling on you that i think a scion would be more the car for you. You just seem like a TC kinda guy.

whats a tc kinda guy? beats me they dont sell scions up here in canada.

You just seem more youthful and i think thats where the scion tc's target audience is.

heres a plan go for the Scion TC and then hook up with a chck in a solara and enjoy the best of both worlds.

use the TC for cruising around town together and use the solara for long comfortable drives with ample cargo room.

My sister just got a TC about a month ago. She got the Black Pearl Mica (??) The car is really nice. She got the package with the bodykit, nice wheels, exhaust, spoiler, sport springs and JBL 6disc stereo. I can honestly admit that i was a little jealous when she pulled into the driveway. Once i drove the car i realized it was too small for me, but dont get me wrong i still really like this car a lot!
