Power Seat Memory?

Power Seat Memory?

Postby online » Fri Aug 06, 2004 5:28 am

I should be picking up my new absolute red SLE cont in 2 weeks. Does the driver's power seat have memory? I had come across one resource that stated that it had manual memory...to me that means you have to manually re-adjust the seat position to its previous settings

Thanks in advance

and if you thought that sucked that we dont have it wait till i tell ya the passenger side is a manual lever and a bar ( id expect this in a corolla not my sle solara geeesh)

oh and theres no quick relese on the driver side seat so if you want to get some one back there you either have to wait it out as the thing slowly buzzes ahead or send them around to the other side ( thats ezier)

I just send people going into my back seat to the passenger side to get in. I'm betting the passenger front seat gets power in the 2006 or 2007 midlife change. They have to leave something out now to be able to offer as a change. Remember though, the SLE is much cheaper than any Lexus and generally cheaper than other cars that have memory seats.

I wish we had the memory for the drivers seat! It seems like every time I get it just right I have to move it back for some reason.

My guess is that Toyota uses that as a differentiator between the Camry/Solara & the ES330.

What irritates me is that the passenger seat does not return to its original position. Even my sister's first car, a Saturn, had its passenger seat return to its original position. :x

Still A LOT of car for the money!

Yep, I have the same irritation about the passenger seat. Why is it so damn hard for car makers to do this? Last Gen1 Solara I owned had the same issue.

at least these seats stay put when someone got in the back of my accord ( coup) the seat would retun to place but once i drove off we found taht the seat would slide back and forth and my friends would look at me like what kinda peice of shiat is THIS??

we finally found taht sometimes they would have to pull it all the way front and then all the way back then they could play around with where they wanted it exactly.

Yep, I would imagine it would fall around $30k+. But at that price i'd only buy if it had 6-speed, and those features included.
