Number one rule when negotiating to buy a car is to never let the dealer have the final offer. My SLE V6, loaded with all options but the navigation system, had a sticker price of $28,250 (supposed invoice was something like $26,100). It was sold to me for $25,900 including all dealer fees but excluded sales tax.

You can negotiate more. First find out what the supposed invoice is (likely about $2,000 less than MSRP). Offer $200-250 less than invoice and work from there.

BTW, some have gotten better deals than I am suggesting.
Moved on to better things...

I got my 04 SLE V6 for 25k with lojack installed and no cost + tax. The sticker pirce was 28, 900. I think I really got a good deal. If the dealer won't go any lower, they to get them to throw in other parts and services. It usually works

invoice price for that car is around 22,000. making an offer at that price is fair. if you really want the car add some money to the invoice, but dont go over 300.00

The good thing with the '05 is that the TSB's from the '04 should be taken care of. I didn't know about the 3-point seat belts, that's cool.

Grill.. the only change I could see is they could go with a meshtype of grill like with the 05 Camry.

The price is $23,598 does not include Sales tax, License fees and $45 documentations.

How much is sales tax in your state Arthur2k4? Add that sales tax and the other fees to the $23,598 and then tell me if that's cheap for a Sport V6... :-?

My ride: 04 Sport V6 - Out the door $23,500 including platinum extended warranty for 75,000 miles. That's a good price, however there are plenty of others that have gotten it cheap then myself.

So ask the dealer how much those Sales tax, License fees and $45 documentations adds up to.

I'm just making sure they don't rip you off. BE CAREFUL MAAAANNN!

PEACE!

I'm interested in any changes like available colors for '05's. If anyone finds out anything, let us all know!
