I cant remeber wich post i read it in but someone was looking for a variaton of the blue not to dark and not too light and hinted on the g35's blue.

I did a quicky here its not g35 blue but its inbetween.

the g35 has a metalic and the solara has a plasticy gloss to it in this pic so i went with a diff route.

That blue is just what the doctor ordered and I would have probably gotten it if it was available. Nice job!

oh i agree, that is one suck looking color for the car.. man i wish they had that color out.. much better looking.. almost like a counterpoint with the absolutely red they have which looked alittle out of place in my mind with the other colors they had which seemed more toned down

Toyota should have offered that blue instead of the light cosmic blue and a dark blue like the new Maxima's dark blue instead of the oceanic blue.

Didn't even notice and still don't see what you're talking about. Damn, why are we so critical of ourselves? :)

Wow, very nice...I might just have to go to the auto paint shop and repaint my car. Earl Scheib Auto Paint has a special. What would you call that shade of blue?

I like the first blue much better. The second blue has a bit too much purple in it (starting to look purplish). First blue is solid bright blue and pretty close to the Acura CL and TL blue from '01-'03 years. That's a better blue than the "bit too bright" blue of the G35.
