Yes, but you can feel the torque more when you floor it :)

Hey, we will never be happy. Turbo drivers complain of turbo lag, us naturally aspirated guys complain about auto lag and the story goes on and on.... The bottom line is that any automatic you go into will have some sort of lag since it is downshifting, finding the gear it needs to get out of its own way. If your a/cv is on, that pulley system is robbing your car of some power, so you won't get the same amount of power you would with it turned off. We have a very simple way of addressing this problem that alot of auto drivers don't have and that is the autostick feature. In autostick mode, you can hold the car in the powerband in any gear with some practice. I have it down to a science now since I drive in the city. So whenever I want to pass someone very quick, I usually have my rpms just a hair below 3K rpms, which seems to give me the best boost of torque to pass almost anything that is in my way. Obviously, if you are gas conscience in this period of rising gas prices, this is not the best method. The best method for you would be to simply be patient and ask yourself, "Where's the fire?"

The gas pedal is meant to be squeezed. It is not an on and off switch.
Moved on to better things...
