I got a survey about 3 weeks later...slammed Team Toyota for not ordering the optional spoiler I paid for (they ordered it the day after my survey when I found a customer service rep that actually cared), not providing the cargo net and not providing the sealer cleaner that came with Toyoguard. I got so frustrated with the sales people lying and the parts people telling me there was nothing ordered that I just teed off on the survey...Team Toyota does have 1 good CSR that did more than the GM of the dealership. They'll probably run her off for caring too much!

I haven't heard back from Toyota yet, but I do know that my comments made it back to the dealer because they spoke to me about it today when I was having the spoiler installed a month after I bought the car.

The bottom line is that I love the car and hate the dealer...I will be using a different dealer for any warranty or service issues.

I think i just got mine in the mail today, havent checked yet though - about 3 weeks after i bought the car.

What spoiler did you get? I thought the solara only came w/ the standard little nub spoiler?

That's what I got; according to the dealer they had to special order it from the factory because supposedly there is no part number yet. I had never come across a V6 SLE that didn't have that option, but the one I bought didn't have it installed so they offered to order one and install it to get me to buy the car. After my complaints they ate the cost of the spoiler so I got a check for that today too - a nice birthday present!

There are some aftermarket spoilers I have seen appear to be the same as the stock/OEM version...for all I know the one they installed could be an aftermarket part.

BTW, I did my survey online...the survey form really didn't have enough room to write and it was very easy to complete online. The survey form should have the website & your logon.

I really like the fact that Toyota is doing surveys; it should help to improve the buying experience & dealerships. They'll probably find that their customers know more than the salespeople, LOL!

I had gotten a survey a week or two after the purchase. I hadn't gotten around to filling it out and so they wrote me another letter asking if I would please fill it out. 5th week...Still hadn't gotten around to it. 6th week...they wrote me another letter bribing me with a dollar bill along with the survey and letter asking me to please fill it out, cuz they said it was important. I'd bout LMFAO when I saw the dollar bill. Bout the 8th or 9th week, I lost the survey and couldn't find it.

As I was cleaning out my office and moving into another position within the company, I found the survey under my desk...lol. I went ahead and filled it out and mailed it to them the 10th week...lol. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm referring to the dollar bill.

Its been 3 months and I still have not gotten any survey, the reason I was asking was that the dealer promised me the floor mats once the survey came in...he said "Bring in the survey and we'll give you the mats for free"

So i didn't bother buying them..but this is getting to be ridiculous.

Anyone bought their car from Sansone Dealership on rt.1?

I think it's time you give the salesman a visit!

Thats ridiculous, your dealer stinks.

My dealer gave me the mats at delivery. Signed the "due bill" at the cost of $0 for the mats.

They were really pushing the "Check "EXCELLENT" on the survey". Even the envelope for the papers said it. They deserved all excellent and that they got!.

My advice is to deal with a presidents award winner dealership.

Shoot I returned the survey and got a voucher for a free full tank of gas.

I got my survey about three weeks after I got my car. No complaints with the dealer where I got my car, but I slammed the dealer who was giving me bull sh#t in buying my solara which prompted me to go with another dealer. BOCH Toyota in Norwood does not care about their customers and have unscrupolous business practices.

J. D. Powers Survey

Postby HomeboyMI » Wed Jun 16, 2004 3:31 pm

I filled out their survey. I rated the car so good, I had to tear up the survey when I realized it wuld hurt me financially. I'm a retired GM engineer and I have GM stock. I love my Solara. Getting personalized plates that read "GMH8SME"
