What would you change for the 2005 coupe?

the thing is way too FAT. I like the proportions of the first gen with the styling of the gen 2. Also i think the back is a little too droopy, too much of the sc430. Also a v8 with an optional supercharger and rear wheel drive. Maybe then toyota would offer a car that I would be interested in. It could compete with the gto or mustang. Also it could be entered in drifting

How can too much of the SC430 be a bad thing? Especially at less than half the price!

A supercharged V8 sounds great, but no way it'll be under $30k and it will represent a very small percentage of sales. When I was shopping the I4 to V6 ratio on the lot was 12 to 1 and I have to think that the I4 outsells the V6 by at least 4 to 1...if you add the extra money to upgrade the suspension & brakes to the engine and supercharger you're probably talking an extra $10k.

Thats not completely true, toyota does offer v8 lexuses and trucks. They are now in the nascar truck series which means americans that like fast v8s are watching and would want one. And the corvette gets 30 mpg on the highway. That is true that the price would raise but at least toyota would be offering a car with guts. The rest of their lineup sucks. They have no sportscar!! As to the sc430 comment, I dont care much for the fat hunchback proportions of the car or the droopy ass, but thats just me.

Only the trucks, 4runner, and Seqouia have V8s.

Lexus is going to going to have a GT division starting next year.

Not that I am agreeing with what pr0wlerartist has to say, but there are the Lexus' with V-8 motors. Also, all V-8s aren't gas guzzlers. There are many V-8s that get comparible gas milage in comparison to V-6s. There are many factors that affect gas milage. It isn't as simple as comparing V-8s to V-6s. Just for example, and this may be a bad one, but look at the new Chrysler 300C. It has a Hemi 340 hp engine. It has this technology that when you are cruising, it has a shut off system that activates four cylinders. When you need power and are more aggressive with the throttle, the switch to 8 cylinders is made. Also I look at Grand Marquis and V-8 Mustangs with comparible gas milage to alot of V-6s out there. Look at the GTO, yes that is a gas guzzler. Look at a V-6v SUV, gas guzzler. There is more to it than just V-6 vs. V-8.
