my sticker price was about $25200 but i got a lot more for my trade in then i should have... they gave me about 4000 for my 96 camry. (but then i spent another 1400 on the leather) this was back in mid january, so i could have done better at the end of the month but my camry needed about 600 in engine repair and the dealler ate it. oh and that same night my mom bought her 04 4runner, trading in her 03 grandcherokee, so they were happy.

I got my Ice blue Solara V6 Sport w/all the options except for the 6 disc changer for $21,500 before taxes in Feb. Think the invoice at the time was about 22,500 in Jersey. Took about 6 hrs at the dealer but I thought I made out pretty well and came home w/the car the same day. Haven't seen many in that color either.

Getting a good deal is very subjective. If you know your cars and compare the Solara with other cars in it's class like the Accord for instance, I don't know if you can get a "bad" deal on your Solara. Seriously, Honda dealerships are real "tight a$$es" and think Hondas are the best cars and far beyond Toyota or anyone else. Therefore, they sell for 26,000 on up and don't budge when negotiating! I can't stand a dealership that is so stuck up that they can't deal. They tried selling me a leftover Accord from 2003, with 4,000 miles. They titled it as a new car since the eealer drove it and wouldn't budge under 26,000! My dad and I say simply said that we test drove the Solara and the Solara was far more impressive and MUCH cheaper! They turned their noses and we walked out the door. I was happy that I had the oppurtunity to test both cars so that I wasn't always wondering, should I have? The Solara, IMO is worth more than a Honda Accord with it's craftsmanship, options, and the fact that it could be badged a Lexus and no one would argue. I do not think an Accord is on the same level as the Solara, but a step down. Acuras quality, looks to surpass Accord, not compromise it like the Solara/Lexus. The only thing Honda floats on is reputation which seems to be slowly dwindling down lately with tranny trouble. Therefore, if you got your SE Sport for < 26,000, you got a good deal IMO. If you want to look at good deals compared with the invoice of an SE Sport, you should be looking at 21.5 -23000 fully loaded SE Sport as a great deal. IMO, it's all in how you look at it. At 22-23K, the car is still a steal. AT 26,000, you'd be up there with the price of the overpriced Honda, which would be fair to me. Fair isn't good enough though. I want to walk out knowing I got the best deal possible. If you walked out with that attitude, don't let any here tell you different. Besides, there is nothing you can do about now anyway. If you made any mistakes, learn from them and do better with your next car purchase. Those salesman can be rough! 8)

 thanks for the info guys i will go pick up my solara on friday. i live in so cal so there is not a lot SE V6 with no option on it. in the end i end up with a SE V6 with 17" and rear spoiler. and it will be 2.28K out of the door from Costco.

i have to say costco give you petty good price, and you go direct to the fleet manager, simple and easy. they just gave me 100+ invoice, i feel i got a good deal.

Hell for 2.28K you just stole the car! :D I think you meant to move the decimal over a tenth, and still looks to be a great deal. As long as you feel that way, it's all that counts.
