Ok I have only had the car three days, and every time I put a disc in, it only wants to work maybe 3 out of 5 times. What gives???

Let me ask you a few questions to consider. Are you attempting to play CD-Rs (burned Cds)? Also, have you tried more than one CD? Try other CDs in your collection if you haven't already. Also, make sure that the CD isn't scratched to the point that it is unreadable. Besides that, I couldn't see what the problem is and I would then take it to be serviced.

I have tried several CD's some CDR's and some regular ones, but it only spits out the error innermittently. Also, if I leave one in there and come back to it later, it says error.

I would just take it back. They should issue you a new one.

Well, I called the dealer, seems my service team takes a long time to get an appt. with, but they plan to replace it.

cd-rs what to use what not to use.

green backing - NO get close to silver, a slight blue or purple tint is ok

NO NAME or wierd names - like super computer cds = BAD

burning speeds - burning at 52 x is fast but it will drop your quality 16 x is good 4 is better 1 is ridulously cautious

Finally got an appointment Saturday afternoon, and they say they are going to replace it. It won't even play store bought CD's either, just says error when I put in a disk. :(

Well the new cd player is now on order. It held two error codes which stated that they were not fixable and therefor it has to be replaced. First they tried to say nothing was wrong with it, then after I told them it was innermittent and that it has displayed error 1 and error 2, guess they figured out they weren't gonna pull one over on me, so they hooked it up to the scanner and found my statements to be true. Kinda funny how I only have the car a week, and already something is broken. Glad I got the extended warranty with all of the stories I keep hearing. :(
