I don't know if any of you you taken out the stop speakers and put in some new ones, but I was wondering what size speakers they are.
I know that there are 6x9's in the back and 6 1/2's in front but then what are the other four. Also are they like 2 way or 3 way speakers?

hey i dont know if the solaras are exactly the same as the camrys but i have an 04 camry with the JBL system and i have one of the following on each side of the car. in the dash are 3 1/2s (i think), in the doors are 6x9s, and on the rear deck are 2way 6x9s which toyota considers 2 speakers each so according to toyota you have 4 speakers in the rear deck 2 total in the doors and 2 in the dash, 8 all together. as far as getting them out, i'm still working on that one, i had just the jbl system but i replaced it with a sony head unit and and also put in a JL audio w6 12in sub. just FYI if u replace one set of speakers u have to replace them all. the factory speakers run on 2 1/2 or 3 ohms if i used my ohm meter right and aftermarket 6x9s are all 4 ohms and if replace any speakers your sound system wont sound as good as it should unless everything is running at the same ohms. hope that helps
