Nice to see we have someone here who is on the "inside". Now let's get to the good information: What is Toyota doing about the left turn problem some here are having? Is anyone else important at Toyota reading this forum? Are there any significant changes to the convertible compared to the normal SOlara besides the obvious top? Do the things discussed here have any impact at Toyota?

Do a search on left turn here. Some Solaras are drifting left all the time, sometimes pretty severe. Dealers are almost all the time unable to fix it.

I believe Toyota outsources the convertibles. If they are working on the convertible top more than likely that's all they do. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

There are a few parts that are outsourced...but for the most part, we assemble everything, and this particular convertible is being made in a way that we have never made one before....i am speaking mostly about the roof...it never starts with one......

Solara Convertible News

Postby 2002solaraphx » Fri Jan 23, 2004 5:23 am

Toyota will be showcasing the 05 Solara Convertible at the Chicago Auto Show in February. All that has been said is that besides being a drop top, there will be no other unique features to the convertible; it will offer the same equipment and trim lines as the hardtop versions.

The perfect month to want to buy a convertible in the north while winter is still on.. Gotta love that timing. Guess this means it will be at the April NY Auto show.
