04 Sport VS 04 SLE

04 Sport VS 04 SLE

All,
I was at my local Toyota dealership getting some minor maintnance done, as my car reached 90k when I noticed something back far in the corner. A Silver Solara, looking just like mine, except different, new. Now, I had seen the 04's driving on the street, and my buddies step brother has one also, but I had never seen one up close.

I ran inside, grabbed a saleswoman, and made her show me the inside. However, she was reluctant to "show me the back seat". You would think they could at least take a joke or two, I mean, they are selling one sexy piece of equipment.

Anyway, I was totally flabergasted by the interior. What the hell was Toyota thinking? They should NOT let gen1 owners see the inside of this car. It is WAY to pretty, and now I WANT ONE!

To make a long story short, my dealer said they could customize a lot of things for me. Well, can they customize an SLE to have the Sport's suspension? Basically, I want the temperature control, w/o the dvd nav, w/o the traction control, but w/ the v6, w/ the 5 speed automagic, and most importantly, sport tuned suspension. let me know.

HAHA. To answer his question, they cannot put the Sport suspension on the SLE. But if you get the SLE you can get TRD equipment soon that will probably make the suspension as good or better than the Sport.

Thought traction control was standard on the SLE V6?

No, traction control isn't standard. It comes packaged along with stability control as one of the options. In my area of the country, the packages of stability/traction control, rear spoiler, and side curtain airbags come on all SLE's so you can't buy one without all of them. They're a great deal anyway.

:P what u can do is to buy an SE with all the spoilers and goodies and send the seats to apply some leather OEM style, and change the A/C controls. That is what i have done for know in my month old 04. Ahh! and 20% tinted windows

Arg, I am becoming confused at 18! I guess I have looked at too many different cars.
