2004 Solara V6. Engine light came on, took it to O'Reiley's and gave code P0171, System to Lean on Bank 1.

Where do i go from here? I have searched and cleaning the MAF seems like a popular choice, so I will start with that. Anything else to try?

Their printout only gave fixes for things that were combined with P0174

Clean MAF
repair vaccum hose lines
replaced intake air boot
replaced MAF

How many miles do you have and are you running the stock air box with drop in filter? Cleaning your MAF is the cheapest place to start.

Stock car, 147k miles.

Cleaned it and put it back once dry. Noticed a crack in the vacuum hose that comes off the bottom of the "T" connected and runs with another hose down under the car. Any idea where his goes how to get to it to unplug it and replace? It's cracked right at the T connected and is hissing loudly. Hoping that's what is causing the code.

Here is a closeup of the crack and where the hoses go. I took off the plastic undercarriage but there is no good way from there to disconnect that hose.

Sorry for the size of the pictures

Go to your local auto parts store and get vacuum tubing the same diameter and a male/male plastic connector. Cut the damaged portion of the hose off and attach the new hose with connector in place of the portion you just cut off. I wouldn't bother replacing the entire hose.

Looking at the pic you may be able to just cut off the inch of split hose and stretch the remaining hose to reach the 3-way splitter.

Once you repair the leak the CEL should go away on its own after a couple of run cycles. You can always unhook the battery to reset the CEL quicker.
