hey folks. my girlfriend recently got a 5speed solara SE 4clyinder. its her dream car and she loves it. however i have noticed that the clutch pedal pressure seems quite high for a toyota or for a stock clutch in general.

Does anyone have a similar issue? the clutch grabs and holds fine. the car has 38k miles. the engagement point was very low on the pedal stroke so i tightened up some slack on the master cylinder actuator rod and this helped to bring the engagement up a little and to even out the pedal pressure but its still very stiff / heavy.

i dont want to change the clutch and have the same issue. does anybody know if the clutch master cylinder, the intermediate cylinder or the slave cylinder could have anything to do with the pedal pressure?

what is the intermediate cylinder for that the fluid passes through before the slave cylinder?

thanks for your help. replacing the cylinders rather than the clutch itself would definitely be nice and cost effective
