Peeling clear cloat.

Peeling clear cloat.

I'm not sure how it started but there's a spot on the roof's side rail where the clear coat looks like it's peeling. It's real flakey. I'll take some pics of it tomorrow. Any suggestions?

how often have you waxed it? Is it kept in a garage most of the day? or out in the sun?

If i were you I would first talk to Toyota (but keep in mind they are gonna want you to use them to repaint your whole car) but lightly sand away the damaged area, then buy some touch-up paint and paint a little bit (if necessary) then apply the clearcoat. Im assuming if your clearcoat is damaged, your paint is too.

not really, the base paint looks good, i have no dents or scraches on my car, so what i have to do is sand away the clear coat?

Maybe try buffing it away first before you use sandpaper, either way get the clearcoat in the area off and reapply some clearcoat. Have you noticed your car dosent look as shiny as it used to/should? Could be time for a new paint job (but since you see it everyday you wouldnt notice it)
