Doorsill problem.

Doorsill problem.

Postby j_dizzo » Mon Aug 24, 2009 8:46 pm

So I'm in the process of installing courtesy/illuminated entry LED's in my car, and I took off the passenger side door sill because I was tracking down wires and can't put it back on. The plastic pins wont pull out of the holes ( I even broke one =( ). Any ideas? All are appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't worry too much about breaking those pins. They're cheap and easily replaceable. But if you look at the sill piece, you'll see that the spots where the pins fit on there are not closed holes. The tops of the pins slide into there and then the very ends of the sill just snap into the holes on the kicker panel and back panel.

Ya i noticed those, but the extreme opposite hole's openings are on opposite sides, so at most, there's always one that wont go in.

i removed them using pliers and like a phone book
u just put a bunch of pages between the pliers and paint and pull them out
so that when u put them back u can slide them into the sill and just snap it down onto the car

i may edit this later cuz i am defintely not a morning person and when i re-read it, it sounds all confusing lol
