I have been trying to stretch my car's economy since I am still tight on cash and decided to ease down a bit on the roads. Recently returning from a few pleasant trips around the island, I literally emptied the tank (BAD) and the results were pretty sweet!

Keep in mind that even though I was trying to ease off the gas, 65mph on a 65mph and 60ish on the 55mph, I could not avoid high speed traffic, several traffic jams and during my last few gallons, SCHOOL IS BACK morning jam across several municipalities as well as several uphill full speed hills (4th gear).

Well, no more talk...onto the pictures (sorry for the non-SLR pics):

#1 Onboard display reading right before filling up the gas tank:

#2 Dashboard photo - mileage and fuel (tank was really empty...haha):

#3 Paper anotations from gas station (sorry, no printouts available):

Calculations:
I pumped twice: $45 @ 67.7c/L and then second time it stopped straight at 2.6L
=~66.4697... L + 2.6 L
=~69.0697 L
1 GAL = 3.8 Liters so...
= 18.1762

So, if I traveled 583.9 miles on 18.1762 that provides a real number of:
=583.9 miles / 18.1762 gal
=32.1244 mpg

I say that is damn impressive...maybe the car felt like pleasing me! Who needs a Prius when u can go almost 600 miles on the gallon! haha

its easily possible
the 4cyl is great for high cruising, even when doing 80
its just the getting to speed that drains the gas haha

DAYUMN!!!! I'm lucky to see a little over 300 miles/tank but usually its right under 300 miles/tank. I'm a 6 cyl manual.

I guess that is where the 5-speed manual shines...

Another thing I want to add, I am running the K&N panel filter...that means that if I don't gun it, I'm not wasting excess gas.
