I have no experience with any seat covers from eBay or anywhere else. This would be a great time to upgrade to something nice though! 8)

I bought some faux leather/real vinyl seat covers off of eBay, probably paid about $40-50 shipped. The material was of nice quality, soft to the touch, though very thin and obviously not leather. They had a thin foam lining inside the sleeve to give it some padding and to hold it to the seat.

After about a year, the stitches began to come undone on the driver's seat cover, and when I removed the cover, I discovered that the foam had begun to disintegrate, leaving a mess to clean up when it stuck to the velour-style cloth that's in my '02 Solara.

Overall, for what I paid, I was pretty satisfied, but I have not since re-covered them, as my cloth is in very good condition, and I've gotten used to it.

Now if I were to come across a set of Katzkin tan, real leather seat covers on discount, I would be all over them. :)

As with all eBay transactions, you get what you pay for. Sometimes less. So go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed.

If you're looking for grey leather, I know there is a member on the forum here selling a great set from Katzkin at a deep discount - if I thought I could pull it off in my champagne/tan vehicle, I wouldn't hesitate to pick them up.

I've never been a fan of seat covers. They do more damage then help to your stock cloth seats. The dirt still gets through and it gets trapped and layered underneath the seat cover.

I think a regular vacuuming and occasional scotch guard is best. Maybe even a shampoo if the opportunity presents itself.
