Anyone have heard about Auto RX engine cleaner?

This fluid should help to get rid of oil sludge in any motor. Not that i have this problem but also they claim that adding like 4OZ of it at oil changes will make your engine never have a sludge problem. I'm kind of curious if this really works...anyone?

I've heard it works really good.. Personally I would rather use Seafoam...

I have never used Auto RX so i cant say it is good or bad. Me personally have always used Seafoam and I have not had any problems using it.

To those using Seafoam...what proportions are You guys using it at? I have almost 60K on the car, purchased at 58K not long ago, engine seems to be running smoothly nothing out of ordinary but i think i might be a good thing to use Seafoam as a treatment, or maybe not(?) I have 2004 V6 SE.

The way I used Seafoam in my car was to add half the can (I think it is a 1 quart can) to the intake I poured it in the brake booster vacume hose while engine running. Shut it off immediately. Waited 10min started it up and drove it like I stole it till it stopped smoking. This is for cleaning out the manifold and removing deposits from valves.
I poured the other half of the can in the crankcase with the engine oil drove it for 400-500mi and changed oil and filter.
I have a sludge issue in my car and I think the seafoam is slowly helping with that. I looked at some of the engine flush products and searched around and have found that it is a coin toss as to if it helps or hurts.
I think seafoam is less harsh than many of the engine flush products which to me means less chance of it knocking the sludge loose and cloging up critical oil passages. but that's just my $.02

^^^Did the same thing with my Gen 1.

Just make sure when you do this your not in a garage. Its gona spit out a lot of smoke. The only thing I did different was take it easy while driving around with Seafoam in my engine. Its not good for your car to be haulin a$$ with it in there. Once you change your oil, then you can punch all you want.

Oh and its a good idea to change your plugs too, once your done with the Seafoam applications.

I'm getting ready to do the engine flush when my oil goes a bit further up in mileage (has about 500 miles only). As for the manifold, did it already and works wonders.

Several Lexus RX300 owners (uses a 1MZFE engine similar to the 1st gen Solaras) have used AutoRX with very good success. Among the things that I have heard reported were clumps found in the oil filter and also upon draining the pan. The other added benefit of this is that it can help restore seals (such as the rear main seal and also piston rings). My uncle used to use this in some others vehicles back in Mexico and also had good success. Definitely not snake oil and one of the best products I know of for oil on the market.
