2004 Solara V6 SE clicking in the steering column. Help

I have the same issue and have 65k on the car. Now I have an extended bumper to bumper platinum warranty. I know the TSB said it was covered under 36K, but what about extended warranties? Any thoughts?

I have same problem on 2004 Highlander.

It is not too bad on mine and it is beyond warranty period. So, I will not be fixing it, but glad to know it is common problem. :)
