Hey guys.

Does anyone know, how can i find the cars brain. I was told that it's somewhere in the center console....is that correct?
Maybe some of you know better, I wouldn't like to take everything a part.

Thanks in advance.

The ECU is located behind the glove box.

I hope you are referring to the ECU.....which is behind the glove box as Jakecallun20 mentioned.

The only thing that might be under the center console is the factory security module....or "brain"

The yaw sensor would be right in the middle of the car (if you have the stability control package). I wouldn't call that the 'brain' though.

Yaw sensor? For a second there I thought that you were talking about planes... But then again my brain kinda farted (not to mention I forgot what said part was, and I don't have stability control in my car).

ECU = Behind glovebox
ABS and/or airbag controller (forgot... I'll have to look at my Haynes Manual) = Behind ashtray
Factory alarm sensor = Below center console storage
Yaw sensor = Uhh... What he said.

Hmm...I'll take a look. It's called "aju" in Estonian which means "brain" in English. I thought it's the right word for it but it seems i was wrong. I'll take a look if the ECU is the thing i'm looking for, thanks for replies guys :wink:

ECU take in many measurements and sensor readings and controls throttle, fuel injections, and many safety/efficiency functions. There's a separate one for body features like windows and such. But if it's engine related, you want the ECU.
