If you get a drivers seat rewired for the passenger side, make sure you get it from a sedan as the ragtops have the airbag in the side if the backrest. That would suck having it fire at the driver instead of the window.

coupes also have the side airbags
the only additional airbags coupe (as an option) can have are the curtain ones

thanks for all the feed back guys.

But, i think nothing will really work because there are no solaras with RHD that i could steal a seat from, and i dont want my airbag blowin up on the driver, and the IS-300 (closest to working out) would be a good idea, but i dont wanna reapholster the IS seats to match, and i dont want them to be the different color seats, so....

I am at a loss, becasue jerzey has virtually no apholstry shops, body shops, or regular-ol' mechanics. Or should i say, no good ones.

Is there anywhere else where the driver is on the right side???

Ever hear of a little place called J A P A N?

Dood - Solaras were never sold there.

LOL...I guess people don't read.

Wasn't a power passenger seat an option? I thought it was...just try to find a regular power passenger seat in a junkyard.

Maybe it wasn't an option, can't remember.

See if you can find a power passanger seat off of a different car, Lexus/Toyota something preferably) pull the track, the motor, the switches etc. Modify the seat bottom/track mounts to fit your seat, run some wires and you'd be all set.

try a camry they might have power passenger seats
highlanders also have power passenger seats (or at least used to in 04) although highlander seats might be a bit too big....

That's a good idea, try other toyota's...

HMM, ill have to measure it all out and everything.

I care bout the passenger cuz 1.) i am a gentleman and i want ladies to be nice and comfy 2.) my lara has all the other creature comforts so why not this 3.) if its emulating a luxury call i might as well go all out.

Actually, this thread has some real value for those who want to upgrade their seats... but will be much harder for the rag-top owners unless they can find some used seats from a Lex. :-?
