lowering struts for TRD springs

Postby laphan » Sat Oct 04, 2008 10:47 pm

I bought TRD lowering springs for my 06 SE. I searched here and found that some people says my SE struts will not ride nice with TRD springs. Howbad is the ride if I just slap the TRD spring on my current SE struts (40K miles).
Can anybody here give me suggestion on what strut is good with TRD springs?

I'm thinking KYB GR-2, Tokico HR or just get SE sport strut from toyota.
They all almost similar in pricing. or i you have any good experience with other struts (and TRD springs) other than mentioned above, please share your experience too.

Thanks....

i believe that lostsoul and I are the only two with teh kyb gr-2 + trd springs.
its a very nice setup where you retain the factory cushiony ride but for those
fun days you can push the car pretty hard..

as far as i know kyb is the only company that makes struts for our cars

one last thing everyone hear preaches is to get the TRD rear sway bar.. that makes the biggest difference on our cars

hope this helps

I paid #307 shipped from ebay.
I first went to KYB website to look for the part number for solara and found that they are the same like camry.
So I went to ebay to buy camry GR2. The one listed for solara are above $400, but camry is around $300 for the same part number.
I guess they think they can charge 2 door car parts more money :drinking:
