Hi - thanks, excellent.
I modified an Excel w/s from another engine to include this data, assumes 3.291:1 axle ratio but can be variable, input:
1. maximum RPM
2. front tire OD

Output:
1. RPM % lost and recovered at shift for 1-2, 2-3, etc.
2. RPM after upshift at shift for 1-2, 2-3, etc.
3. Minimum RPM & % recovery (from widest shift)
4. Speed in each gear in MPH
5. Overall drive ratio (selected gear ratio × axle ratio) in each gear
6. MPH per 1,000 RPM in each gear

Download it: http://victorylibrary.com/mopar/U151E.xls

Most likely uses:
How will my new tire size affect my shift points and speed?
Just plug in the new tire OD by over-writing the 24" figure.

How about if I shift at higher speed?
Change the RPM and all values change automatically.

YeP I've got this right. The thing I wanna know is the % loss is refering to what ? Also do the F column means that shifting at 6000 RPM from 1st to 2nd will bring my RPM to 3344 ?

How much engine speed is lost vs. recovered (total is always 100).

Yes, the 1-2 shift recovers to 3,344 (plus some converter slippage).

Sorry, I should have known this was a mistake.
Someone already offered to sell this on Craig's list.
Anyone who downloaded this: please do not distribute it.

Panic,

I don't know whether you'll find this useful for your purposes but check this link: http://www.gadgetjq.com/vulcan_speed_rpmcheck.htm

It's posted on my motorcycle site (thus the radio buttons at the top of the page that automatically fill in the data boxes). If you enter your gear ratio data along with tire size in the yellow boxes you'll see speed and rpm data in the green boxes. You can change tire sizes and modify (speed box) shift points to see (assuming you know the torque characteristics of your engine) where your ideal shift points would be.

Cheers
