Morning Ya'll...I want to install brighter low beam headlights but have no idea what is available or what will work. The factory lights are fine but when you live out in the boonies the more light the better. Any of ya'll have any suggestions. Thanks guys/gals....

This topic has already been discussed to death (by me and others) here. Please learn to use the SEARCH function.

Briefly, your choices are:
1. HID's (about $275 to $600)
2. Aftermarket halogen bulbs like Sylvania, Hoen, PIAA, Nokya, etc. (about $30 to $150)

titanium or plus?

Postby obegong » Wed Mar 30, 2005 6:59 pm

just wondering...for the H11 low beams, the HOEN xenonmatch plus bulbs run @ 80W and im afraid they might fry my wiring harness/burn out in a couple of months. What are some feedback for this product in comparison to the other AM bulbs out there, like PIAA, Silverstars, or Nokya?

Anyone personally know the brightness difference between the xenonmatch plus and titanium lines? The pictures make it seem like the xenonmatch plus is a lot whiter and brighter.

The titanium line runs at 70W and doesn't require the wiring harness; for the plus line, it "may be required on some vehicle applications when running 80w and higher lamps". :-?
Also, the website said for the xenonmatch titanium: "Best results are achieved when installed in projector lighting systems", which is what we Gen. 2s solaras have...so perhaps the titanium is "better" for our car...?

and btw my nokyas have been just fine since christmas....

I asked the same question of Hoen a few months ago and here is their reply:

Thats correct Mike, we suggest the H11 xenonmatch Titanium which does not require connector upgrades nor will it overtax the system. 80w is fine with the projectors but we recommend a connector upgrade.
The Vi is well suited for the projectors however it will not be shipping for a month. It is 6% less bright as our xenonmatch line so if your looking for the most powerful the xenonmatch line is the brightest.

Thanks
Andreas

Subject: 2005 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 Convertible- Suggestions for lighting upgrade?

Hello

My name is Michael Isinger and I am interested with your suggestions in upgrading my stock lighting, especially the low beams.

I believe they are H11 and they employ the new projector system.

I am asking you directly because of my concerns with overloading the wiring and/or projector housing with excessive heat.

Your new system coming at the end of november (xenonmatch Vi 7) looks interesting. How much of an improvement over the
toyota low beams will be provided by these new bulbs?

Thank You

Mike Isinger
